Since it was first installed in the 1970’s, the formula for the EPDM membrane has not changed much. Its superior durability and cost-effectiveness are part of what makes EPDM one of the most used flat roofing systems installed in the U.S. today.
Cost-effective, easy, long-term maintenance, excellent weatherability.
EPDM is lightweight and flexible, and it is an ideal second generation (roof-recover) choice. Made from ingredients derived from oil and natural gas, EPDM can be fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted with seams sealed using a liquid adhesive or specialty tape.
EPDM membranes also have the ability to address specific energy cost needs. This system tends to have lower long-term maintenance costs with a consistent preventative maintenance program.
